The Lisbon studio that designs the whole space, then furnishes it
Founded in 2015 by Belgian designer Kurt de Leeuw, itsk.studio is a boutique interior design and furnishing studio in Lisbon. It works for people who have decided to make Portugal home, with clients from Europe, the US and the Middle East. Some arrive with a full renovation; others arrive with a single room.
The studio prefers restraint to accumulation: fewer, better decisions, made with intention. Interior design and furnishing are treated as one conversation, from deciding where a wall should move to choosing the lamp beside the bed. The aim, as the studio puts it, is a home that "feels inevitable, not decorated."
In October 2026 itsk. expands the offer. A new website brings fixed-price design advice, The Living Brief, and 10 by itsk., a seasonal edit of ten objects selected by Kurt. The studio's new line sums it up: "From one object to a whole house, we do itsk."

Kurt de Leeuw, Founder and Creative Director
Kurt de Leeuw trained in interior architecture at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. He then spent more than a decade in fashion and business development, moving through six cities in three countries before settling in Lisbon twelve years ago. Long before he had a studio, he renovated his own homes, again and again. He founded itsk.studio in 2015 as the studio he wished had existed when he first arrived: one that takes a newcomer's trust seriously, and designs for how people live in a room, not how it photographs.
"It's about how a space makes you feel at 7am with coffee, not just how it looks in a portfolio. Function and feeling, working together, or it doesn't count."
